beware of natre

Today's blogmas day 2!

Yesterday was a great day! I ordered my first Fairy Loot box (the January one) as a birthday present from my mom and I'm more than excited for the book it will contain, which I've been waiting for MONTHS (coughcoughcaravalcoughcough). I also won my first giveaway: an ARC of Wait for Me by Caroline Leech. I'm so happy, I cannot believe it yet :')

Also, on Sunday we started a 1 week Secret Santa in the dorm so we have to put one gift in our lucky person's locker every night. Yesterday, since I finished homework at 2am, I didn't bring my stuff to the lobby until then, and I have to say it was a hella bad idea because at that time this building is scary af. As usual, by that time Robin (my neighbour) was still awake and she forgot to bring her present before, so she also had to be an adult as well and do it. When she told me she was going downstairs I told her "Beware of Natre." and she freaked out-- it was so great. #sorrynotsorry

For those who don't know who's Natre, she's a character from a Thailandese horror movie we watched at the lobby 2 weeks ago and that gave us trouble to sleep for a whole damn week. The movie is called Shutter, in case you wanna check it out.

casually throwing a scene that will give me nightmares tonight

In other news, today at Okinawan culture class we went to the Nakagusuku Castle! There was such a beautiful landscape, so we took lots of pictures.

Hope you liked this post! See you tomorrow :)

obsessions are what dreams are made of

So yeah, I decided to do blogmas this week so you'll have a daily post until Sunday.
Since I have a lot of time to write today because I haven't done my kanji homework yet (I've had like a week and a half to do it. Yes, I'm that lazy), I will be showing you my recent creations.

Let's start with one of my biggest inspiration sources: King George's Rainbow. If you don't know/remember what I'm talking about, I wrote about that in Colours in the sky - Rainbow
Before summer, for the anniversary of the first mv that came out last year (aka The Fourth Wall), I made a huge bookmark/poster as a tribute of the whole album.

For the Diet or Die one, I told Jordi I wanted to make another version featuring Barbara Blow (the sexy gluttony lady) but I kind of forgot about it so I made it today!

Today I also made 4 bookmarks inspired by the Zodiac book series by Romina Russell as a bookversary gift for her and all the fans of her books.

Zodiac - Wandering Star
Black Moon - Thirteen Rising

Also, some months ago, after I read Zodiac, I made another 2 bookmarks. One with The Twins and another one with Rho in it.

Now, let's jump to the very first bookmarks I ever made, that were the Divergent ones. I had just finished reading Allegiant and I was so delighted with the series that I couldn't resist to make a bookmark of my faction, that's Erudite. I had so much fun drawing it that I had to make the other factions' ones.

And because obsessions are what dreams are made of, when Bathtub Mermaid came out, I drew this fanart.

Remember when I said the Divergent bookmarks were the first ones I made? I lied. The first one was this, inspired by To all the boys I've loved before and P.S. I still love you by Jenny Han, with Lara Jean in it.

I'm very happy with it because, despite it's not so well done, thanks to it I've been practising a lot with my graphic tablet and I've been able to draw many other bookmarks.
And finally, do you remember my obsession for Suicide Room? It didn't get better. Before coming to Japan, I bought the original dvd and during my flight to Dubai I drew this inspired by Dominik and Sylwia.

Have you read any of the books mentioned above?
Do you like the Divergent series? If so, what's your faction?

Hope you liked them! See you tomorrow :)

new neighbour (holy shit ver.)

It's 2:03 at night and, as always, I should be sleeping, but if I wrote a single entry at a normal hour my blog would lose its essence.
It's been a while, huh? I've been very busy lately procastinating and I've done a lot of great things these days that I may talk about someday (not today).
This morning (13pm) I woke up with a great hangover, but I decided to spend the rest of the day doing homework and studying because next week will be a hell of a week; there're lots of exams and speeches coming and I'm not ready. I did all I wanted to do today, so at midnight I went to the library room to get some writing done. I got to finish another chapter (2 chapters in 2 days yay) so I just kept smiling like a creep in front of my computer for some minutes when suddenly I got a message from the dorm line group.

Apparently, we have a new neighbour.

And it's a fucking stick.

And it's alive.

I'll try to get posted as many entries as possible next week, but I won't promise because I'll be probably napping during my free time.
